Pierce Bears (Arbuckle, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA), 52-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pierce upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Bears host Lassen (Susanville, CA) to clash with the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 1. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 18-9. Lassen won 68-46 in their recent non-league bout against Live Oak (Live Oak, CA)
