The Avon Falcons basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Ellington Knights to 45 in the Falcons league triumph on Tuesday.

The Falcons now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Granby Memorial for a North Central Connecticut contest on Friday, February 10. Avon will confront a Bears team coming off a 45-44 league loss to Stafford (Stafford Springs, CT). The Bears record now stands at 6-9.

The Knights (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Suffield (West Suffield, CT). The Wildcats enter the North Central Connecticut contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Suffield was defeated by Enfield (Enfield, CT), 62-34, in a league contest.
