New York High School Basketball - North Tonawanda thwarts Niagara-Wheatfield

January 8, 2013: North Tonawanda, NY 14120

The North Tonawanda Lumberjacks (North Tonawanda, NY) basketball felled the visiting Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons (Sanborn, NY), 53-37 in Tuesday's league test.

The Lumberjacks (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Lewiston-Porter (Youngstown, NY). The Lancers go into the Section 6 Niagara - Frontier test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Lewiston-Porter went down by Lockport (Lockport, NY), 61-43, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grand Island for a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier test on Friday, January 11. Niagara-Wheatfield will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 71-61 league loss to Kenmore East (Tonawanda, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 1-7.
