Kentucky High School Basketball - Johnson Central tops Mason County

January 11, 2014: Maysville, KY 41056

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) and the host Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY), saw Johnson Central's basketball squad knock off Mason County by a count of 65-54.

With the victory, Johnson Central upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles host Paintsville (Paintsville, KY) to play the Tigers in a District 57 challenge on Tuesday, January 14. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Paintsville lost 71-52 in their recent league challenge against Sheldon Clark (Inez, KY)

Next up, the Royals play the West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Mason County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record.
