Texas High School Soccer - Johnson can't get by McNeil
January 15, 2016: Austin, TX 78729 In Friday's non-league game, the McNeil Mavericks (Austin, TX) soccer squad tipped the visiting Johnson Jaguars (San Antonio, TX), by a final score of 1-0.
The Mavericks (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Canyon (New Braunfels, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Canyon tipped Midway (Waco, TX), 6-0, in a non-league challenge.
The Jaguars now possess a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Deer Park for a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 16. Johnson will confront a Deer team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Franklin (El Paso, TX). The Deer record now stands at 1-3.
