North Carolina High School Basketball - Hopewell succumbs to Mallard Creek

The Mallard Creek Mavericks topped the host Hopewell Titans basketball team by a final score of 70-53 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Mavericks face the Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) in a Mecka 4A game, on Tuesday, December 13. Mallard Creek will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Huskies enter the game with a 3-4 record after their 73-72 non-league loss to Myers Park (Charlotte, NC).

With the defeat, Hopewell moves to 6-3 on the year. The Titans host North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC) to face the Vikings in a Mecka 4A game on Tuesday, December 13.
