The Independence Patriots basketball team scored 32 points and restricted the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles to 21 in the Patriots league victory on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Porter Ridge for a contest on Tuesday, January 27.

The Eagles (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Butler (Matthews, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Butler prevailed over Garinger (Charlotte, NC), 52-29, in a non-league contest.
