October 9, 2009: Phoenix, AZ 85051 The Cortez Colts football team (Phoenix, AZ), was ripped 48-6 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Thunderbird Chiefs (Phoenix, AZ)
The Chiefs (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cactus (Glendale, AZ). The Cobras come into the 4A Black Canyon challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Cactus trounced Washington (Phoenix, AZ), 42-14, in a league challenge.
The Colts now sport a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they host Greenway for a 4A Black Canyon challenge on Friday, October 16. Cortez will meet a Demons team coming off a 42-37 league loss to Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ). The Demons record now stands at 3-3.
