September 11, 2015: Waldorf, MD 20603 Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team run past the visiting Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD), 47-19 in a league test.
With the win, Westlake improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD) to confront the Hurricanes in a Southern Maryland test on Friday, September 18. The Hurricanes go into the test with a record of 0-2. Huntingtown lost 27-0 in their recent league game against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD)
The Hornets now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Patuxent for a non-league game on Friday, September 18. Great Mills will battle a Panthers team coming off a 28-14 non-league win over Northern (Owings, MD). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.
