September 2, 2005: Bayfield, CO 81122 The Eagle Valley Devils (Gypsum, CO) football beat the host Bayfield Wolverines (Bayfield, CO), 41-22 in Friday's non-league game.
The Devils (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Rifle (Rifle, CO). The Bears enter the 3A Western Slope game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Rifle lost by Harrison (Rifle, CO), 14-6, in a non-league game.
The Wolverines now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Roaring Fork for a non-league game on Friday, September 9. Bayfield will meet a Rams team coming off a 25-3 non-league loss to Glenwood Springs (Carbondale, CO). The Rams record now stands at 1-0.
