Florida High School Basketball - Melbourne can't hold off Covenant Christian
November 8, 2016: Melbourne, FL 32901 The Covenant Christian Lions basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Melbourne Bulldogs to 50 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 10. Covenant Christian will battle a Panthers team coming off a 54-36 non-league win over Palm Bay (Melbourne, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.
The Bulldogs (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Palm Bay (Melbourne, FL). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Palm Bay was nudged by Heritage (Palm Bay, FL), 54-36, in a non-league contest.
