New York High School Basketball - Saranac Lake overwhelmed by Peru
January 14, 2015: Peru, NY 12972 The Peru Indians basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Saranac Lake Red Storm to 22 in the Indians league victory on Wednesday.
The Indians now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Au Sable Valley for a Section 7 Division I contest on Thursday, January 15. Peru will battle a Patriots team coming off a 59-56 league loss to Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY). The Patriots record now stands at 6-5.
The Red Storm (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY). The Bobcats come into the Section 7 Division I contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Northern Adirondack triumphed over Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY), 72-67, in a league contest.
