Texas High School Basketball - Denton can't hold off DeSoto
December 9, 2017: Denton, TX 76201 The DeSoto Eagles basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the host Denton Broncos to 63 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedar Hill for a 6A Region I District 7 contest on Friday, December 15. DeSoto will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 63-61 non-league loss to Kimball (Dallas, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 4-8.
The Broncos (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against South Hills (Fort Worth, TX). The Scorpions come into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, South Hills Waco (Waco, TX), 0-0, in a non-league contest.
