VIVIAN GOODPASTER has been named player of the year. "I wish this gave me the option to name 2 players, as her partner in crime, Georgee Lawhorne has been equally as Valuable this year and for 4 years! Vivian had more statistics and was in the State Leaders in many categories, so I'll officially name her on MaxPreps. She batted .632, 2nd in the State, had 43 hits, and 43 runs. She had 27 RBIs, 12 Doubles, 2 Triples, and 6 Home Runs. Her On base % was .662, and Slugging % 1.132. She is a Phenomenal Catcher with instincts, savvy, and fundamentals second to none. Noone will steal on her or barely lead off for that matter as she made picking girls off a habit. She is attending Saint Francis University to continue her Softball career. She finished her career with many school records, including 154 career Hits, and a career .508 batting average. Congratulations Vivian on a stellar season and career."
