Kara Campbell has been named player of the year. "I would like to give the 2014 Union Mine Girls Volleyball Player of the Year award to Kara Campbell. Kara was a huge addition to our team this season. She led the team in multiple categories both offensively and defensively this past season. Kara offensively was outstanding, hitting .321 for the season with 258 kills total. From the service line she was deadly as well, posting 51 aces. On the defensive side of the ball, Kara led the team in digs with 314. In serve receive she was our teams most consistent passer, and her ball control on the court will really be missed next season. She served as one of the team captains this season, setting a great example of leadership and team play. It was truly a pleasure to be able to coach you this season Kara! Best of luck at the next level."
