Lorena Soria

Lorena Soria has been named player of the year. "It is with great pleasure that I select Lorena Soria as the Resurrection Bandit player of the year for 2017. Lorena has been the backbone of our defense this year. She has been a tremendous leader both on and off the field. She worked so very, very hard in the off season to add yet another level of technical ability. Allowing her to not only steal the ball, but to then beat an opponent on the dribble and create transition all by herself. She is a captain this year and a four year starter that I will not be able to replace. Lorena had a couple of assists of her direct kicks. She took all the goal kicks this year. It has been at utmost privilege to be Lorena's coach over the last 2 years. She has taught me so much about what it takes to be a high level player, but also a tremendous young lady. I am a better coach for having had her on my squads these last 2 years. I look forward to watching her continue her soccer career at the college level as she will be attending North Park University"
