Melissa Gonzalez

Melissa Gonzalez has been named player of the year. "Melissa was selected as the Nevada Division III Player of the Year. She has played in four state championship games in her high school career, winning three of those games. She led her team and her entire division in several statistical categories. She was a team captain and played her best basketball when it mattered most. Melissa was one of those players that would have been successful regardless of the classification she played in. She ended her career at Pershing County as one of the most decorated athletes in school history. As her coach, it pleases me to say that she too is a better human being than she is an athlete! The ultimate compliment a person could ever receive in my book!"
