Eric Alfaro has been named player of the year. "It was a very close decision on who to give the Player of the Year to but Eric Alfaro edges out Javier Fernandez by just a little. Eric did a great job of running the PG on offense and played very good defense all year, but it was his LEADERSHIP that set him apart. Eric was the voice of the team. He made sure everyone was in the right place on both sides of the ball. He is also the hardest working person on the team. Congrats to Eric for being the Player of the Year for the CIF Champs, Marquez High!"
