Jacob Lavis has been named player of the year. " Congrats to Jacob Lavis on being selected as player of the year for the 2013-2014 season. Jacob has had an outstanding senior season, and led us in scoring and displayed excellent leadership. Jacob worked extremely hard to put himself in position to have an outstanding senior season, Jacob was the first one in the gym and usally the last one to leave putting in extra work to be the best player that he could be. Jacob always looked to take the big shot for us and made us better when he got hot from the floor. The highlights for Jacob was probably his game winning shot at the buzzer to beat Melvindale, but as a Coach I feel like the best game was the game he had against Allen Park on the road when he led our comeback win with 26 points. But more importantly got his teammates a lot of easy baskets. Good luck to Jacob in college next season, as we here at Wyandotte Roosevelt wish him nothing but the best."
