Rachel Lenz has been named player of the year. "Hempfield’s girls’ volleyball Player of the Year goes to non-other than Rachel Lenz. Not only is Rachel receiving this honor on back to back seasons, but she also added a bunch of other awards in her senior year. Rachel was named to the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section One All Star Team, Lancaster-Lebanon League All Star Team, District III AAA 1st Team, PIAA AAA All State Team, PIAA AAA All-Tournament Team, a 4 time Max Prep/AVCA Player of the week for Hempfield, Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year Nominee, and Under Armour Honorable Mention All-American. Rachel ended her career as the all-time career kill leader (1,432), single game kill leader (28), and single season kill leader (620). Rachel ended this season with 5 assist, 57 aces (team leader), 111 digs, 192 blocks (team leader and single season record), and a hitting percentage of .429% with 471 kills (both team highs).
