In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Desert Scorpions basketball team scored a decisive 66-23 victory over the Vasquez Mustangs.

With the victory, Desert improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Scorpions travel to Paraclete (Lancaster, CA) to battle the Spirits in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 16. The Spirits come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Paraclete lost 42-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Antelope Valley (Lancaster, CA)
