Colorado High School Basketball - Vail Mountain overwhelms Caprock Academy
January 14, 2017: Vail, CO 81657 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Vail Mountain Gore Rangers (Vail, CO) and the visiting Caprock Academy Eagles (Grand Junction, CO), saw Vail Mountain's basketball squad wallop Caprock Academy by a tally of 70-44.
With the victory, Vail Mountain improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Gore Rangers host Soroco (Oak Creek, CO) to confront the Rams in a 2A District 5 challenge on Monday, January 16. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 1-7. Soroco lost 88-32 in their recent league challenge against Paonia (Paonia, CO)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Hayden Tigers (Hayden, CO) in a 2A District 5 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Caprock Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 82-21 league loss to Paonia (Paonia, CO).
