Texas High School Basketball - Cypress Creek can't hold off Cypress Springs

The Cypress Springs Panthers basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Cypress Creek Cougars to 57 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cypress Lakes for a 6A Region III District 17 contest on Friday, January 22. Cypress Springs will battle a Spartans team coming off a 70-50 league win over Langham Creek (Houston, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 14-6.

The Cougars (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Cy-Ridge (Houston, TX). The Rams enter the 6A Region III District 17 contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Cy-Ridge nudged Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX), 66-59, in a league contest.
