The Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX) basketball knocked off the host Center Roughriders (Center, TX), 73-58 in Friday's league test.

The Hornets (16-5) will now prepare for their test against Carthage (Carthage, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region III District 18 test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Carthage was beaten by Rusk (Rusk, TX), 64-52, in a league test.

The Roughriders now own a 17-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Huntington for a 3A Region III District 18 test on Tuesday, January 20.
