The Canyon Springs Pioneers basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Sierra Vista Mountain Lions to 68 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pioneers now sport a 28-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop Manogue for a non-league match on Friday, February 25. Canyon Springs will confront a Miners team coming off a 45-44 non-league win over Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, NV). The Miners record now stands at 25-5.

With the defeat, Sierra Vista moves to 25-7 on the year.
