Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) fans were pleased Friday as they witnessed their football team trounce the host McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA), 50-0 in a league game.

The Miners (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Kennedy (Sacramento, CA). The Cougars enter the Metropolitan game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Kennedy was trounced by Grant (Sacramento, CA), 28-6, in a league game.

Next up, the Lions meet the Yuba City Honkers (Yuba City, CA) in a Metropolitan game, on Friday, October 7. McClatchy will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Honkers enter the game with a 0-3 record after their 34-7 non-league loss to Roseville (Yuba City, CA).
