In Saturday's non-league match, the host Hug Hawks basketball team scored a tight 56-53 triumph over the Central Valley Falcons.

In their next game, the Hawks confront the Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) in a North - High Desert match, on Tuesday, January 6. Hug will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 10-4 record after their 71-58 non-league win over Hercules (Hercules, CA).
