Colorado High School Soccer - Basalt overwhelmed by Grand Valley
April 17, 2014: Basalt, CO 81621 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Grand Valley Cardinals (Parachute, CO) and the host Basalt Longhorns (Basalt, CO), saw Grand Valley's soccer squad triumph over Basalt by a margin of 6-0.

Game Summary
The Cardinals traveled to Basalt to take on the Longhorns and came away with a 6-0 victory. Ashlynn Speakman and Kyra Chenoweth led the way for the Cardinals with 2 goals apiece and Randi Sheridan and Lauren Paskett added tallies for the final margin. Randi's goal came in the 4th minute and ended up being the game winner. Ashlynn also picked up two assists while Emily Williams, Kyra Chenoweth, and Randi Sheridan also contributed helpers on teammates' goals. Erin Schuckers made 2 saves to pick up her seventh win and fourth shut-out on the season.
