In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Mountain Pointe Pride softball team scored a close 5-2 win over the Basha Bears.

Coming up next, the Pride battle the Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, April 7. Mountain Pointe will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Firebirds enter the outing with a 9-13 record after their 16-6 league win over Dobson (Mesa, AZ).

The Bears (9-11) will now prepare for their outing against Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ). The Broncos enter the non-league outing with a 9-12 record. In their last outing, Poston Butte was routed by Marana (Tucson, AZ), 8-5, in a league outing.
