Illinois High School Softball - Brown County bounces Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia
April 19, 2018: Mt. Sterling, IL 62353 Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans (Concord, IL), 10-0 in a league challenge.
The Hornets now sport a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calhoun for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 21. Brown County will face a Warriors squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 14-2.
With the loss, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Rushville-Industry (Rushville, IL) to face the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 23. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Rushville-Industry won 16-11 in their recent non-league challenge against West Prairie/Bushnell-Prairie City (Sciota, IL)
