San Elizario Eagles (San Elizario, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ysleta Indians (El Paso, TX), 42-34 in a league bout.

With the win, San Elizario upgrades its record to 5-14 on the season. The Eagles host Horizon (El Paso, TX) to play the Scorpions in a 4A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, January 28. The Scorpions go into the bout with a record of 22-5. Horizon lost 47-40 in their recent league bout against Canutillo (Canutillo, TX)

Next up, the Indians play the Riverside Rangers (El Paso, TX) in a 4A Region I District 2 bout, on Friday, January 28. Ysleta will attempt to upgrade on its 7-20 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 17-11 record after their 63-33 league win over Parkland (El Paso, TX).
