Pennsylvania High School Football - New Castle prevails Butler
September 3, 2010: New Castle, PA 16101 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Butler Golden Tornado (Butler, PA), observed New Castle's football squad defeat Butler by a count of 25-0.
The Hurricanes now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Ambridge for a WPIAL AAA Parkway contest on Friday, September 10. New Castle will confront a Bridgers team coming off a 34-7 non-league loss to Keystone Oaks (Pittsburgh, PA). The Bridgers record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Butler moves to 0-1 on the season. The Golden tornado travel to North Allegheny (Wexford, PA) to confront the Tigers in a WPIAL AAAA Northern Six test on Friday, September 10. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 1-0. North Allegheny won 42-7 in their recent non-league test against State College (State College, PA)
