Connecticut High School Lacrosse - Taft trounced by Avon Old Farms
May 16, 2012: Avon, CT 06001 Avon Old Farms Beavers (Avon, CT) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their lacrosse team achieve victory over the visiting Taft Big Red (Watertown, CT), 12-7 in a league challenge.
The Beavers now have a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salisbury School for a Western New England Division 1 challenge on Saturday, May 19. Avon Old Farms will face a Crimson Knights team coming off a 11-10 league loss to Deerfield Academy (Deerfield, MA). The Crimson Knights record now stands at 10-1.
In their next game, the Big Red face the Hotchkiss Bearcats (Lakeville, CT) in a Western New England Division 1 challenge, on Saturday, May 19. Taft will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 15-8 league loss to Deerfield Academy (Deerfield, MA).
