The Kosciusko Whippets (Kosciusko, MS) football defeated the visiting Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS), 42-27 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Whippets face the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 6. Kosciusko will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record.
