Illinois High School Basketball - Crete-Monee nips Thornwood
December 26, 2017: Crete, IL 60417 Crete-Monee Warriors (Crete, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL), 64-57 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Crete-Monee upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Warriors host Sandburg (Orland Park, IL) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 26. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 7-7. Sandburg lost 49-44 in their recent non-league battle against Andrew (Tinley Park, IL)
The Thunderbirds (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Rich Central (Olympia Fields, IL). The Olympians come into the non-league battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Rich Central was nudged by Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL), 49-45, in a non-league battle.
