The Panama Panthers basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Cassadaga Valley Cougars to 16 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sherman for a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - West II contest on Friday, January 12. Panama will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 50-17 non-league win over Westfield (Westfield, NY). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-3.
The Cougars (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Frewsburg (Frewsburg, NY). The Bears enter the Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - West II contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Frewsburg triumphed over Clymer Central (Clymer, NY), 53-45, in a league contest.
