The Sahuaro Cougars basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks to 40 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Centennial for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Sahuaro will battle a Coyotes team coming off a 61-50 league win over Sierra Linda (Phoenix, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 6-15.

The Nighthawks (7-16) will now prepare for their contest against Flowing Wells (Tucson, AZ). The Caballeros enter the non-league contest with a 5-17 record. In their last contest, Flowing Wells was defeated by Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ), 70-39, in a league contest.
