February 3, 2017: Kenner, LA 70065 The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes basketball team (Marrero, LA), was overwhelmed 78-40 in Friday's league battle with the host Bonnabel Bruins (Kenner, LA)
The Bruins now possess a 18-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cox for a 5A District 8 battle on Tuesday, February 7. Bonnabel will confront a team coming off a 51-39 league win over John Ehret (Marrero, LA). The record now stands at 19-12.
The Hurricanes (4-19) will now prepare for their battle against Landry-Walker (New Orleans, LA). The come into the 5A District 8 battle with a 14-12 record. In their last battle, Landry-Walker trounced East Jefferson (Metairie, LA), 57-42, in a league battle.
