North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence trounces Myers Park

January 23, 2017: Charlotte, NC 28227

The Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC), 94-60 in Monday's league test.

The Patriots (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates go into the Southwestern 4A test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Porter Ridge was trounced by Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 86-64, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hough for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 25. Myers Park will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 67-60 non-league win over Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 9-9.
