The Ridgewood Maroons (Ridgewood, NJ) basketball nipped the host Paramus Spartans (Paramus, NJ), 53-47 in Thursday's league test.

The Maroons (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Dickinson (Jersey City, NJ). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 14-6 record. In their last test, Dickinson was tipped by St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, NJ), 77-63, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 2-15 record. They take the field next when they host Ramapo for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 14. Paramus will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 54-37 non-league loss to Northern Valley Regional (Demarest, NJ). The Raiders record now stands at 4-13.
