Maryland High School Basketball - Bishop McNamara prevails St. Mary's Ryken
February 3, 2012: Forestville, MD 20747 Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD), 72-53 in a league bout.
With the win, Bishop McNamara upgrades its record to 12-12 on the season. The Mustangs host St. John's (Washington, DC) to encounter the Cadets in a Washington Catholic bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 14-9. St. John's lost 76-54 in their recent league game against DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD)
With the defeat, St. Mary's Ryken moves to 5-20 on the year. The travel to Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA) to face the Cardinals in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 7. The Cardinals enter the game with a record of 11-12. Bishop Ireton lost 75-48 in their recent league game against Gonzaga (Washington, DC)
