Mississippi High School Basketball - Cleveland Central overwhelms West Tallahatchie
January 6, 2018: Webb, MS 38966 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cleveland Central Wolves (Cleveland, MS) and the host West Tallahatchie Choctaws (Webb, MS), saw Cleveland Central's basketball squad wallop West Tallahatchie by a tally of 84-63.
With the victory, Cleveland Central improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Wolves host Canton (Canton, MS) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 16-2. Canton won 76-55 in their recent non-league challenge against LeFlore (Mobile, AL)
Next up, the Choctaws play the West Bolivar Eagles (Rosedale, MS) in a 2A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. West Tallahatchie will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 54-49 league win over O'Bannon (Greenville, MS).
