Mississippi High School Basketball - Collins holds off St. Patrick
January 9, 2018: Biloxi, MS 39532 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Collins Tigers (Collins, MS) and the host St. Patrick Fighting Irish (Biloxi, MS), saw Collins's basketball squad hold off St. Patrick by a tally of 72-65.
With the victory, Collins improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host North Forrest (Hattiesburg, MS) to confront the Eagles in a 2A Region 8 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. North Forrest won 54-47 in their recent league challenge against Richton (Richton, MS)
Next up, the Fighting Irish confront the Richton Rebels (Richton, MS) in a 2A Region 8 challenge, on Friday, January 12. St. Patrick will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 61-58 league win over Perry Central (New Augusta, MS).
