Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting North Springs Spartans (Atlanta, GA), 56-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Southwest DeKalb upgrades its record to 18-11 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Hiram (Hiram, GA) to face the Hornets in a non-league game on Thursday, February 22. The Hornets enter the game with a record of 21-9. Hiram won 39-35 in their recent non-league game against Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA)

With the defeat, North Springs moves to 13-15 on the year.
