Florida High School Basketball - University holds off The First Academy
January 11, 2018: Orlando, FL 32805 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the University Cougars (Orlando, FL) and the host The First Academy Royals (Orlando, FL), saw University's basketball squad hold off The First Academy by a tally of 65-62.
With the victory, University improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Hillsborough (Tampa, FL) to confront the Terriers in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 15. The Terriers come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Hillsborough lost 50-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Jones (Orlando, FL)
Next up, the Royals confront the Crooms Academy Panthers (Sanford, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. The First Academy will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 68-45 non-league loss to Trinity Prep (Winter Park, FL).
