In Friday's non-league match, the host Richfield Spartans basketball team scored a tight 57-50 triumph over the Wayzata Trojans.

In their next game, the Spartans confront the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) in a Classic Suburban match, on Tuesday, February 17. Richfield will attempt to move on its 19-2 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 10-12 record after their 46-38 league win over Mahtomedi (Mahtomedi, MN).
