California High School Soccer - West knocks off Lodi
January 11, 2018: Tracy, CA 95376 West Wolfpack (Tracy, CA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Lodi Flames (Lodi, CA), 5-2 in a league challenge.
Next, the Wolfpack face the Lincoln Trojans (Stockton, CA) in a challenge, on Thursday, January 18. West will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record.
The Flames now have a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Mary's for a challenge on Tuesday, January 16. Lodi will face a Rams team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Wood (Vacaville, CA). The Rams record now stands at 0-1.
Game Summary
Lodi JV boys lost on the road at West tonight. The Flames got out quickly and scored to go up 1-0 in the 4 th min. Qwest answered right back to even things up 1-1 6mins later. Then it was a bit of a stalemate until with about 8 mins left in the 1st half Lodi would go back up2-1 only to see Tracy even it up2-2 less than 80 seconds later for a 2-2 score at halftime.West would be the much better team after halftime scoring 3 times and limiting the Flames to limited chances on goal. Final score would end in a 5-2 win for the Wolfpack.
