In Friday's non-league game, the Homewood Patriots (Homewood, AL) football team were victorious over the visiting Center Point Eagles (Birmingham, AL), by a score of 24-0.

The Patriots (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Minor (Adamsville, AL). The Tigers come into the 6A Region 5 game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Minor was knocked off by Auburn (Auburn, AL), 44-7, in a non-league game.

The Eagles now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Springville for a 5A Region 5 game on Friday, October 5. Center Point will meet a Tigers team coming off a 43-14 non-league win over Crossville (Crossville, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.
