North Carolina High School Football - East Mecklenburg held off by Porter Ridge

October 28, 2016: Indian Trail, NC 28079

In Friday's league game, the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) football team tipped the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC), by a score of 27-21.

The Pirates (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The Ravens go into the Southwestern 4A contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Rocky River was nipped by Independence (Charlotte, NC), 43-42, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Eagles encounter the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) in a Southwestern 4A contest, on Friday, November 4. East Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 9-1 record after their 58-0 league win over Garinger (Charlotte, NC).
