Texas High School Football - Winn topples Mission
September 16, 2016: Eagle Pass, TX 78852 The Winn Mavericks (Eagle Pass, TX) football were victorious over the visiting Mission Eagles (Mission, TX), 27-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Mavericks (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Catholic (San Antonio, TX). The Buttons come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Central Catholic was knocked off by Devine (Devine, TX), 41-38, in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Joya for a 6A Region IV District 30 challenge on Thursday, September 22. Mission will meet a Coyotes team coming off a 31-0 non-league loss to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-3.
